if it doesnt grind in any other gear its definately the syncros...we have a '94 accord vtec and it grinds in 5th but no other gear

Mine grinds into 3rd, double clutching to the grinding gear and/or using redline tranny fluid will help drastically.

. and he might not know what double clutching is if hes not that knowlageable about cars or isnt into the whole racing dillio

basically its holding the gas while shifting

no, thats power shifting. double clutching is pushing in the clutch, taking it out of gear, letting the clutch out, then pushing it back in, then putting it in the next gear, and finally releasing the clutch. its not for racing. its for farm equiptment that has crappy or no synchros.
