RE: need help with my 94 ex
Did you not get it checked out before you bought it? ^^
Someone probably ran it 7k miles without changing the oil, which could mean your motor is done or will be soon. I forgot the name of the stuff you can buy for knocking, some other guys might know. My last 98 ex had the same problem, i ran it without oil like an idiot and it started knocking, then it went out completely

well WITHOUT oil and runing the oil longer between changes is two HUGE DIFFERENCES!
10seconds without oil can thrash your bearings!
ive heard of guys buying new trucks and NEVER changing the oil the whole time.. and eventualy blowing the motors but that was after 50K miles... tho thier trucks where under warente and they got new motors...
but anyways can you get a video with sound of the knocking?
if your oil is at proper level it should be fine thier....
but if it JUST started after a gas fillup it could be some OLD BAD GAS making it ping....
or it could also just be you need to have your valves adjusted.... cause over time they do wear and need to be fine tuned....
its just hard to pick which it might be without actualy HEARING it in person ya know.....

just put some lucas oil in it and let it drive it for about 30 mins. that should fix knocking if it is a rod bearing. if i was u i would get new rod bearings put in and valves adjusted its easy to change rod bearings just take exhaust off and drop oil pan and remove the caps then reomve inner linings of cap and rod. if u feel comfortable doin it yourself of just take it to a local mechanic.
