Default New 2012 Civic Owner

My wife and I picked up the new Dyno Blue 2012 Civic LX today. First time I've had a Honda. Traded in our Mazda 3 for it. We were looking at other cars and I told my wife if we are going to trade the Mazda in we might as well get the best and most reliable car brand there is.
I love the car especially the new dash that looks like something out of Knight Rider. Only thing I don't like is the fact that you can't see any part of the hood or front end so I'm going to have to get used to that. People drive nuts in Florida so I'll have to be careful until I'm used to it. lol

Looking fwd. to browsing these forums.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not too familiar with the 2012 Civics. Pics of the ride?

i cannot stand the new civics, too much electronics to worry about breaking down. a good old fashion speedometer and tachometer would of sufficed in the new civic

I personally love the digital dash. Makes it stand out from other cars. I was a huge 80's Knight Rider fan and the new car kinda reminds me of KITT so that's part of the reason I like it so much. lol

think how much you will be paying when the entire dash goes out, cars now you cannot really work on yourself

the thing is stuff usually fails after the warrenty expires, so id rather have something that outlasts the warrenty and thensome

Thats why you buy a car from a dealer who gives you a lifetime warranty or even the option to get one when you buy the car. I know in some states/areas it's hard, but where I live since there's a lot of competition and tons of car dealers its a lot easier to find ones that do.

I don't believe in lifetime warrentys, as, what if the dealership you got it from went out of business? i think the older civics are more reliable as it dosen't have all the electronic and digital junk that could turn into a big problem sooner or later, as cars get more complicated more things can go wrong and you cannot work on them yourself
