Default New Civic owner (98 w/H22 swap)

My name is Dayton,
I am the proud new owner of a red 98 civic ex that has had some work done but needs some love.
The H22 swap has been done but the wiring is horrendous, lowered on adjustable valving shocks and what looks to be Tein springs.
Aftermarket head lights and looks like oem tails, not sure that I like the head lights.
Si or Si replica grill and short spoiler (possibly Si or replica Si)
Wheels but not sure of the brand.

Dc sport ceramic header and full exhaust.
Msd ignition setup and I think it is a Venom intake and a short aic.

The car runs out great but the speedo is off, need to get that fixed.

When I test drove it last week there was no check engine light and it idled nice and smooth, tonight the idle varied up and down a couple hundred rpm and the check engine light is on.

From the exhaust it smells as though it is running rich.

Things to do

Figure out that check engine light idle issue,
Do a tune up and get the computer dialed in,
Rewire and tuck the engine bay,
New tires,
Look into which mounts (engine) where used and see if I can find some that don't transfer the vibration so bad, they seem really stiff.

Sort out all the added switches and wires in the interior.

Add some tunes,

Touch up a couple minor areas in the paint,

And I'm sure that there will be more added to the list....

Dayton

post some pics and we'll let you know if you should swap headlights lol. and help figure out whether or not you have Si parts or not. but sounds pretty nice man. if you don't mind me asking, how much did you get the car for and the mileage on the H22?

Sounds like a good project, despite you the issues you're having. I plan on doing an H22 swap on my current project, a '00 civic hatch.

Lets see some pictures!

Stat4u,
I gave right at 3k for it.
The odometer reads 64386, the paper work for the engine states under 50,000.

After some searching, it is the stock ex style spoiler.

I will definitely get some pictures up,
I got back late last night from getting it and now it is raining

Another thing I need to sort out is the power steering,
There is the stock pump just sitting in there and the pump from the H22 is still bolted to the motor.

Neither is hooked up as the inner fender is in the way of the belt.
I think I'll go the electric route for that.

Time to go make the $$$, I'll try to get some decent pictures this after noon.

Meh, I would remove the P/S system entirely. But that is just me. I like the feedback in the steering wheel when having no P/S. You can feel the tires losing traction before it starts to actually happen

Nice swap. I have always wanted an H swap. $3k sounds like a good price. Post pics!

Personally, I am not a fan of tint, only because I have encountered issues with the law about it in my local area twice.

Otherwise, the car looks stock and clean.... which is good. $3k for that is a good price IMO.

Paint those side skirts and get a lip! The exterior will look much better once that is done

I'm not big on the tint either, If it was lighter it would be ok with me.

All the emblems have been shaved/ removed except the H on the trunk lid.

I plan on front and rear lips and painting the skirts, that will probably finish the exterior except maybe a set of fogs.
