I just bought an '01 EX coupe. I got it as a commuter/grocery getter as my 3/4-ton Dodge Ram MegaCab just wasn't gettin' done on the cheap. Anyway, it's got 84,000 miles and has been meticulously maintained by a retired couple out of Arizona. It has some suspension upgrades, full stainless exhaust, some body kit additions, a short-throw shifter and other goodies. I have a couple of questions though...I don't think it has any engine mods and I was thinking about starting with an intake...any suggestions? I'm also going to switch over to Amsoil for all the fluids. I'm not going to hotrod it, I just want to let it breathe better and maybe give it a small power boost. So, if anybody has any advice as to what direction I should go, I'd appreciate it. Thanks...SC

UPDATE: So after reading the FAQ's, I feel like a dumbass. I'll be looking into an intake as soon as I get the car up here in a couple of weeks...SC

Unfortunately, you will not be able to get a decent power gain without boosting. I mean you can get a camshaft, springs, retainers, possibly valves, and tuning software + a tune and gain about 20-25 hp during mid to higher rpms, but then again, you are looking at a decent amount of money for that stuff.

Toss up some pics of your ride! Kind of scared since you are mentioning something about a "body kit" though. What kind of suspension is installed? Brand?
