Hey all new to this forum, just sold my 85 IROC-Z and bought a 97 Civic HX Coupe. So far everything is goin good, did the timing belt and water pump last week. All stock except header and a straight pipe instead of muffler due to previous owners backing up skills. Now thinking about adding a little more HP but all in due time. Anyways just saying hi and hope to get some good advice and fit in.

 

how many miles on the car? Is it a 5speed or auto? Long time ago i had a 2000 HX 5speed i got 44mpg.. going 70mph.. There really nice cars.. The vtec is really nice how it kicks in..

I dont no if the 97 is diffrent from the 2000. But on mine to gain top speed .. What i did was i hooked a pvc to the stock airbox and ran it to the fog light area..

 

Did you put a filter on it?

 

it's got 142k on it, they did put a cone filter and pipe to the throttle body but it is dirty and i hope to replace with a whole new setup. it looks like they bypassed a couple tubes when converted might be done right but i don't know?? might just replace the filter for now and see how that goes. thanks for chatting with me i appreciate it. i will try to get some pics. on here, probably fri. oh yeah it's a 5 speed.
