Default New Honda Owner!

Hello yall. I just purchased my new 1st Honda. It is a 98 EX coupe(150K). I purchased it cause I was looking forward to great gas mileage but im only at about 26 MPG. Changed the plugs and wires so far so well see what I average after mini tune-up. Ill have to get to the fuel filter and oil change next week. Anyway I always considered myself a chevy man, but this little Honda is growing on me. When I purchsed the car the interior was DIRTY, SKICKY and SMELLY. I got a new stock radio and cd player, purchased a new trim pieces that it was missing. The only thing that it needs inside now is for me to fix the power locks. The lock control unit in the driverside door was under water inside of the driver door. The top of the unit was facing up so water could get it. Anyway dealership wants 380.00, im just going to junk yard soon. The exterior had a suspension upgrade or downgrade to some. The car was dropped aprox 2 inches all aroundmaking it really bouncy and a hard ride specially on even small potholes. the exhaust is a magnaflow. It has aem cold air intake. Just today I noticed a small leak on the power steering rack. I got under the car and tighted a fitting where the fluid is leaking from. The problem is that I dont want to make it worse by breaking it, and its a tight squeeze to get a wrench in there. So well see if leak continues. The outside has a 3 dents and holes in trunk that I have to patch from the wing I took off. It needs a new paint job and it should look great. Like I said it was getting 26 MPG before the new plugs and wires so we will see. I think I can already tell the diffrence in the engine output.

That car has been abused......but it seems like it's in good hands now

26mpg is waaayy low. I average around 37 with my 99 LX. Are you throwing any CEL codes?
