Default New member with a 1991 Civic Hatchback

Hello everyone. My name is Steve, I'm 17 and I just bought my first car. It's a '91 civic hatch. I hear this is the fastest civic available cause it's so light. It has a 4-speed manual tranny, but for some reason the transmission doesn't go into anything but third and reverse. I was told it's an easy $30 fix with a solenoid off of a junker. It also sometimes doesn't start without jumper cables and I was told it's because it needs a grounding kit. I see those on ebay for relatively cheap, but is there one that works better than the other? Also how about turbonators? The previous owner has one in the intake and says it added 25 hp. I'm thinking of adding an electric supercharger to it for added power. I'm hoping I will blow away camaros an mustangs with my fast civic once it is fixed. Can someone give me advice on fixing that solenoid and the ground kit? I'm also interested in opinions on spoilers. I hear some actually add to gas mileage? Is it the taller ones? What about body kits? I'm interested in getting my car as fast as possible.

I've heard that you should check your oil pan. There might be a supercharger in there.

How about chlorine? I hear it has nitromethane effect.

you will need to build your engine first before adding the synthetic nos.
i suggest installing the electric turbo first to allow more air into the engine to accomidate for the synthetic nos combustion.

Forget that synthetic nos bro. Just go to walmart and look in the cooler section for that NoS stuff in a blue can. Looks like a soda. Buy two: one for your gas tank and one for your crank case. Works like seafoam, but with added horsepower. Be warned, though. It will smoke for the first few minutes.
