Hey folks. My name is Adam from Northern Indiana. I don't currently have a Honda, let alone a civic. My uncle has a MINT '91 hatch in his backyard with 32,xxx on it that he's claimed he wants gone several times, and knows I want it. I've read up on other Honda forums, and this one has seemed the best one to date that I've found. I'm currently saving to scoop up a coupe 5spd or even a hatch (I know, that's what everyone gets). An EG or EK is sweet obviously, but an EF would still be done up right. I've been seeing increasingly sweet swaps and legit parts being used on these cars, and I'm hoping to join in on some "clean" Civic work.

Currently, I drive a 2000 Dodge Neon, 5 spd. Used to look like an unpainted SRT, then a real SRT (had it painted), then swapped that off for a regular front end with a HONDA part! It's a Type-R front lip (I know, probably cheaply made in China) for a 99-00 Si. All it's got is a catback exhaust, some sway bars, KSport coilovers, and some plaid on the interior. I'd love to swap it, but there are few swaps that can be feasibly done. Nothing compared to the Civic world. So here are some pics, and mods, if I need to be moved or anything, do as you must. Just glad to be here and start getting real input and opportunities to become part of the community.

Welcome to HCF. We have a few non-Honda drivers on here. Nice work on the Type R replica lip. It's cool to see it on a Neon. Neons can be badass little cars for sure.

 

Thanks man. I love it. I wasn't the first to do it, and a couple folks have Type-M lips and LEGIT ITR lips. I <3 my little Neon. Not fast, but a blast to drive around. I'm hoping to be somewhat accepted into this forum and Honda community, to hopefully bridge the gap on the whole "I hate import" "I hate domestics" battle I see all the time. I've already been reading some project threads and suspension work. I wont get rid of the Neon, but I'm SO anxious to get into that EF now. Lol. Thanks for the welcome!
