Bought a 2001 Civic back in February and I've been tackling issues with the car. Joined to try and shed some light on repairs and if what I'm tackling is worth my time. hoping to keep this car running for as long as possible!

 

sorry for the late response but i also drive a 7th gen civic and can offer insight on mechanical issues now or in the future. i will say the 01-05 civic does have some major automatic transmission problems if thats what your problem is.
