Default Newbie Dooby Doo!!

Hey All,

I just got my very first Civic! I am totally excited about it! It's a 2003 LX with a CAI and Catback (or some type of similar exhaust) already installed! Looking at headers but finances are an issue right now so it might be a month or two. I believe the previous owner also had a sport suspension installed but not sure if the dealer is BS'ing me on that or not (not sure how to tell). It rides nice and feels like a tight suspension so I'm not positive. Is there any way to tell?

I traded in my 2005 base Cavalier that I purchased in desperation of a vehicle last September, as I was on rebuilding my credit score from when I was younger.(Young, Dumb and full of c*m!)

Anyway I am a total noob when it comes to engines for the most part. I think I have some of the basics down and I do what I can, but it sucks not having my own garage to work in. I would like to do what I can with what I have for now and improve on that. It looks good to me aesthetically but if you get close you can see that the paint job is F'ed up! I love the color but the previous owner must've taken it to "Maaco" or "Earl Scheib" for a discount deal before he traded it in. It is "Eternal Blue Pearl" but if you look close you can see it was originally Red! So in the future I will figure a minimum of spending 2K on paint but probablly closer to 3.5K!

I found some fairly cheap headers from "Summit Racing" as they are only a 45 minute drive from my house and here is a link http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Other than the CAI and Exhaust/Headers I was reading the FAQ and saw something about "Mini-Me." I was just wondering if this is even possible for my 1.7L SOHC basically stock engine. If so I was thinking about installing this turbo after the Mini-Me conversion... if possable. http://www.turbo-kits.com/01-05_civic_turbo_kits.html

Sorry for the long post but I would like something respectable as far as an amateur drag racer is concerned.

Thanks for reading,
-Neotracer

Yeah... the headers are more of a quick fix as it will take me a while to save up for the whole turbo. I will see what I can do about getting some pics up in the next couple of days. I am still wondering if the "Mini-Me" conversion is even possible with this engine. Any info on this will be tremendously appreciated! DUH!! Sorry that might be why you want some pics... if this is the case please forgive my ignorance.

I will get them up ASAP!

Thanks,
Neo-Tracer

and...

I will get some of the engine up in the next week or so. Just curious... you can't tell in the pics but the rims are 17" MSR 105's... any good? Sorry to sound like such a ID10T but this is the sportiest car that I have ever owned... LOL!
