Default oil changes

My question has to do with oil changes. My '07 Civic EX has 3500 miles. I usually, on my previous vehicles, changed oil 3000-4000 miles. The oil change indicater on the Civic shows my oil still has 60% of it's life. On these new Civics do we go by the indicater or change oil as we always have?

Why not be safe and go with your judgement and change every 3500... wouldnt hurt?

I would say, its up to you. But, if it was me, i would change it evry 3500 miles, simply becaue its a new motor and your still breaking it in

I just purchase the 06 Lx and it is currently at 60 % with about 3500 miles The dealer told me to change it at 15% which I plan on doing. I will be using a 0W30 syn and a long life filter with both having a life of 25,000 miles. I will also be changing my manual trans fluid to syn. E-mail me for the brand of fluids and would be glad to help.
