Nice car but I would hate to have a rhd here in the U.S.

why? It would be a sweet postal worker car.

yes, you can drive a right hand drive in the u.s. ( well, you might not can good )lol, but they are legal with the license plates insurance and all that stuff. my dad is a mail man and has a right hand drive jeep cherokee and its legal. he can drive it anywhere he wants.

Yeah you can definitely drive them here. Theres a guy who owns a tuning shop not too far from where I live (it's where I'll be getting my dyno tune done), and this is what he brought home a few weeks ago....

and no thats not me taking the pic. I'll get some good shots of the car next time I'm out there.

You can legalize a RHD car here in the US but it costs so much money, cheapest ive seen is 9k and that is in Texas. I hear its easier to import a car and legalize it if its sold here as a LHD car. Also there are two ways to legalize it, street legal or race/show legal. If you choose the race/show way it can NEVER be driven on the street, if a cop catches you they will crush your car no matter what. Before you have the car shipped here you have to have a company that plans on legalizing it for you. If you dont and that car hits our shores they will crush the car, sad but true. Ive been researching this a little because my friend is going to the Navy soon and he said he would buy me a RHD car if he gets shipped to a foreign country. He owes me a big favor. Two years ago he lost his job and couldn't keep payments up on his 92 caramo and the dealership repoed his car. I let him borrow 1500 to buy his car and that was money i was saving to rebuild my 300zx TT engine and i was going to slap on some big turbos on it at the same time. Of course if he gets shipped to Japan or docks there i told him to get me a R34 GTR. I still have a lot of time before this all happens but im very serious with getting a skyline. If its to difficult ill try for a 300ZX 2+2 TT instead. In reality im probably looking at spending at least 20k to legalize a skyline for the road.
