Default shout out

hey you all. I'm extremely new to tuner cars, as I just got out of classic muscle cars. I bought a 2003 Honda Civic in Tulsa this past Saturday. It came with a body kit and a new muffler...but that's it. they didn't bother with performance, which sucks. It's only got a 1.7L, i dunno what kind the engine is specifically...much less anything about import cars at all. any help/basic info would be appreciated!

stay cool,

Will Z

Sweet man, welcome to HCF. You're engine is either a D17A1 (if you have an LX) or a D17A2 (EX trim). Unfortunately though, it doesn't respond very well to bolt ons like intake, header and exhuast in terms of horsepower..hasn't stopped a lot of people though; you can either turbo or swap to a K20 for some major power. Check out 7thgencivic.com for some other cars like yours that people have done some crazy stuff to (but make sure you hang around here too!) Good luck!! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about 7th gens!
