I agree, that's the best way to go about anything. ESPECIALLY when buying a car!

Didn't mean to steal your thunder. It just kinda happens like that. Has everything been informative?

yeh, well i called the place im getting it done at, and they said they use the top of the line tint stuff and that it wont bubble, i just cant use my defroster for the first week of having the tint. and they place also has a lifetime warranty. but im not sure, im new at this! lol this is my first car, all i wanted was dark windows damn it!
Any place that is halfway confident with their work and offer a lifetime warranty probably does a good job. You probably don't have much to worry about. Just do what everyone's been sayin' and don't use your defroster (LA shouldn't be that cold right now anyway, right?), don't roll down your windows for a while, and do NOT use ammonia-based products on it or just PRIOR to taking it in. They should wash the windows anyway, but still best not to. And INSPECT INSPECT INSPECT. Do NOT take it off the lot 'til you look at every little detail, the corners/edges and focus especially on the rounded glass (i.e. front and rear windows). Post pics when you get it done! Good luck!

my best tint job!...

general info:
use soap and water to clean ur windows after u get tint...
and to put tint on .. cause then u can use lots..and get it nice and wet and slippy..soo u dont screw it up....
never ever.. cut your tint in the middle.. or for "heater strips"---this causes bubbling..and air pockets..that only show up once ur tint drys and is in the sunlight

when in doubt... pay the extra few dollars and have it professionally dun.. then the cops cant bitch either!
make sure the shop gives you a disclaimer from the state ordinance book that states tint is legal... they do that here for us to prevent the 200 dollar fine and having to scrape the windows

oh..btw welcome to the forum sweetie
