Hey civic owners...whats up with my car?? Everytime I reverse I hear this noise like something fitting into place. Also hear it when I roll down my driveway or other steep incline. Something up with my trans? Its an 98 automatic if that helps. Thanks guys...this forum rox!

 

im going to be honest that i dont know, do you race your civic a lot? is it auto or manuel? the reason im asking is in other forums from what ive read honda builds some of the strongest stock manuel transmission out there, but ive heard guys talk about how the auto doesnt handle as well. ive talk to guys that have had there auto trans rebuilt twice cause of racing them and some have minor moding done. hope its nothing serious for you.

 

Noises are tough to describe and even toughter for us to diagnose. Can you describe it a little more? Where is it coming from?
