Hi everyone im new to the site. Let start off with I do not have a Honda but Im interested in them. I have an 02 Mitsubishi Lancer ES, it just has an intake and cat-back. Yes, I know I wont get the Hp of a civic from my Lancer, I bought it just as a daily driver. Here's my question, What year is the best and model to get as far as the civic's go. I'm looking to get lots of hp out of what i buy. And does anyone have a civic up for sale around the Houston, Texas area. I have a budget around $3,000- $4,000. Thanks Everyone.

welcome to the forum
for 3000-4000 bucks you can very easily find an EG (92-95) Civic hatchback with a swapped engine in it. IMO that's a great starting point as long as the prev. owner did the swap right. Normally I would say buying a Civic already modded is stupid... but when it's a swap it's a little different IMO, because a swap is a PITA and if it's already done then hey, one thing down.

88-00 is right around that price range. I have seen numerous projects, driveables and swapped civics in that price range. Check eBay, autotrader.com, craigslist.com, modifiedcartrader.com, and local listings. I have seen some very nice Civics for sale, already swapped and some-what tuned out. Be careful on what you buy though, do research before you hand over cash.
