THose guys are pretty slick on the website. They wrote "Carb approved" the second line and "not" on the first line. I thought it said "CARB approved" before i saw the red lettering.

I say go turbocharge because supercharger doesn't given civic that much whp for the money.

turbos generally take more maintinence because they move faster but they have much more potential power than a supercharger. since a supercharger is belt driven, it robs power from the crank. turbos just feed on power that would be wasted out the tailpipe. plus...with superchargers you run into the inevitable problem that is the eventuality that you cant get the pullys any smaller. turbos can push and push and push and only run out when its sucking all the power it can from the exhaust (which is a lot more than most people think). plus its a lot harder to keep intake temps down with a high powered supercharger than a high powered turbo, especially with a roots-style blower. you get into water intercoolers and water injection and eventually the supercharger becomes more complex than a turbo setup. plus, even the most basic and cheapest supercharger setup will cost three times what professional-class turbo setup. plus you get more power. on Petes slushbox EG with a $1300 turbo setup, he was running low-mid 14s. on the exact same car (snipers...except with a manual transmission instead of auto...and a JRSC that runs in the $3000s) he was running mid 15s. there are a lot of arguments on the other side of course...but honestly i think a turbo will be better for you in the end.

nah... the JR typically runs 1.9-2.5 K brand new.

If its just for day to day "set it and forget it" type low band power I would go with a super.

For everything else turbo.
