are there headers for my car or should i fab. my own

 

If you are getting a turbo, you won't have a header anymore, you will have a Turbo Manifold, and that is something that will already come with a kit.

 

^^^ dont get a kit. theyre overly expensive. except pcupo who got an awesome deal on a greddy. but a kit that normally runs 1500 can be inferior to a custom 'kit' that will cost you 500-700 less. not mentioning the fact that most turbo kits cost 2000-3500

 

as far as the charge pipe and intercooler pipes all the pipes really can i make those myself or do they need to be specailly made. i ask this because im a pipefitter and it looks like it isnt anything to specail that i wouldnt be able to weld up myself.

 

if you have experience it will be a snap. theres a DIY Turbo thing at the top of this topic...check that out. you can also buy downpipes, chargepipes, and IC pipes...but custom will be easier

and since you know what your doing y ou could build a CAI for your turbo...and itd be sweet...and cool...and id be jealous...and evious...k ill shut up now

 

i would like to make my own cai im not sure if i should or by one im not gonna have my turbo till late winter but wanna intake now for the lil xtra hp.should i tighten throttle cable for better response is there a throttle cable? i know how to turn a wrench i just dont know much about my car yet
