Default 93 Civic Turbo

Hey guys. I have a 1993 Honad Civic DX Coupe. It has a D15B. I want to add a turbo to it. So I need some advice in what turbo I should get. I don't want to go like all out and mess up my engine. I just want to give it more horsepower safely. Everything in the car is stock besides an Intake and the engine was swapped for a newer one. The old one was a D15B7.

So what turbo kit should I get and how much will it cost?

First go read the stickies in this section. After that go read other peoples threads in the section that asked the same question as you just did. Your question is too broad you need to do a little bit of reading first before you start asking questions. Sorry if I come off like a d!ck, its just that this question asked ever day and we try to help new members by teaching them to search for their questions before they ask a stupid one and get flammed and cussed out till they leave the forum. We dont want that to happen LOL. So again read up a little bit and then after we will be happy to help you from there.

Okay guys I read. I'll be a little more specific. If I buy this turbo kit will it work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/J-SPE...Q5fAccessories

Remember I don't want to get anything fancy. I don't care if its poser parts. I just want something that will work. This honda is like my project car that I'm learning things with, so this is where I will start. So can this turbo actually work on my car and not mess the engine, or anything else, up? Considering that everything I have is stock

if you want that go ahead buy it but its a hit or miss, i wouldn't use the turbo and then you still have to get a mani and fuel manegment. it would be more safer with legit sh*
you can do a homemade kit for 1k - 2k

That kit is crap dont get anything like that from ebay. All those " Turbo Kits" are cheap turbos and Dont come with everything as they say. It is best to do some research and piece together your own kit to suit your needs. Ebay cast turbo manis and intercoolers are desent and will save you come coin. Turbos from Garret and Muitsubishi (spelling) are getting cheap, like $300 -$400 new. Just make sure you upgrade your fuel injectors and get a good tune or your motor will not last long. Hondata is a great and inexpensive tuning setup. Hondata S100 is $200 plus maps and tuning.

ebay is great! You can find a lot of good stuff on there, you just have to be careful and not stupid. Anyways the ebay kits are a hit an miss some people get lucky, but building ur own is the best way to go and its still fairly cheap.

piece your kit together, HF manifold, 14b/t25/etc. mitsu turbo, custom DP/turboback exhaust, DSM injectors, ebay charge piping/IC, socket/chip/tune your OBD1 ECU, add in all the unseen costs, the tune, etc. and you could be boosted around $2K. A compresion test on your engine will tell you a lot about how long oyur motor will last once boosted.

and stickies in the Forced Induction section are your best friend.
