Meh, as long as it's R134a (which I think most cars after 96 had), it's not going to do anything. They use that stuff for those compressed air duster cans.

Yeah, it's still illegal, but it won't do anything, unlike R12, which will wreck the ozone layer.

 

yeah i just had to take the ac off my car, bc the engine was blown and i wasnt getting it towed to my mechanic to have the system "safely" drained. But i just looked at it this way, if i was in an accident with some good front end damage where the pipes broke or condensor was busted up, the stuff is going to leak anyway... so heck, why not do it myself haha
