What did you use for an air intake to the turbo? When I put mine on it makes this retarded cough like, barking seal sound when I shift lol. When I take the intake to the turbo off it doesn't make that sound.

With the cooling issue, I put my a/c fan back in just for kicks. Just hit the a/c button then I had a turbo cooler fan which was about a 1/4 inch from the turbo. lol No proof it did anything just did it cause I could.

Yaayyy, I just got a call from my brother that he already went and pick up my car from the mechanic. No more noice Yayyyys. it was my clutch[&:]

However, my brother says that my car has a cluttering/rattling noice coming from my axles however that problem is due to the last time I went to autox lol.

Also, my brother said the car pulls more harder with the new clutch heheheh can't wait to go tomorrow and try it out.

Reinstall the transaxle to the oil pan braces. Make sure the braces line up flush
with both the oil pan and the transaxle before tightening the bolts. These braces
are an integral part of the engine / transaxle structure and if they are not aligned
properly before the bolts are tightened, this will put undue structural stress on
the engine / transaxle.

Or is that a bunch of bogus info??

I think they are talking about the engine stiffeners. There are two of them, one on either side of the oil pan. They bolt from the bottom of the block to the transmission. You should have them.

You can see them here: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...+BLOCK-OIL+PAN
They are parts 13 and 14

I know where they go. The problem is that I switch to the d16y7 oil pan because it's made out of metal, but it does not have the holes like d16y8 oil pan to attach them. My question was that if anyone with d16y8 engine that swap the oil pan to a d16y7 added any type of supporters, like weld something on.

I see, well, when I swapped my trans I managed to brake the front engine stiffener. I asked my uncle, who is a mechanic for the state, and he told me that I shouldn't drive without 'em unless I want **** to break. He has a 86 Honda and knows his stuff.

So, try to get something to support there

From what i read online so far, I have not seen any issues with people who have swap the oil pans and not put anykind of support. But still, i'm going to try and see how to mount some kind of support. For now, I should be fine, I think ...lol. ...because the y8 and y7 blocks are identical and i'm assuming the d16y7 don't even have any support at all.

Here's the link if you want to look too: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...&catcgry5=
