Default boosted b16 on english fuel (97 octane) 9 psi engine trouble

i boosted my car on a t3 t4 turbo, uprated fuel pump, injectors and a crome remap on 9 psi, it got 251 whp.

i have been doin alot of reading mainly from peoples experiences in america and from what i can gather you can run up to around 10 psi on stock internals. but after two weeks of drivingnow i have low compression in cylinder 2, missing, and white smoke puffs outta the rocker.

is this because we run in england ondifferent octane (97 octane)fuel making more power, and my engine could not handle the safe boost leveldue to a horsepower limit on stock internals rahter than psi limit on this sized turbo! hope this makes sense. any idea what could be the cause aswell, im gonna have the head off at the weekend!

Youre running 251 whp? What motor? 251 @ 9psi is a pretty big turbo.

yeah, it's more hp limit since different turbos size make different amout of power at the same psi.
Anyways, 250whp is the about the highest reliable hp range on a b16.

What type of fuel management are you running, since most turbo problems rise from a bad tuned.

yeah, that is defiinitely low on torque. I have'nt dyno my car yet, but i have a turbo d16 set up making around 170whp and about 150 ft-lbof torque, so yeah that is low for a 251whp set up.
