Hey guys I am trying to decide what to do with my engine and I have a couple questions about the 14b...I found one on ebay HEREand I was wondering if this is a good kit for the price and if I would have to buy anything to complete the kit. Also, the one main thing that would keep me N/A is the life expectancy of a turbo, does anyone know roughly about how long a turbo will last?

EDIT: I was also wondering if the D16Z6 engine is a good engine to boost? I have been reading around and I think it is but I would just like so comfirmation

How long with a turbo last? That is dependant on WAY too many variables.

 

That kit you had a link for isnt worth more than about $200 tops and has about 1/5 of the stuff your going to need. 14b'sthemselves usually go for about $70-$100 depending on condition and can last anywhere from a couple of weeks to as long asa couple ofyears if used properly. If you really do your homework andfollow petes turbo grocery list you'll be in good shape.

 

Id shy away from that kit. Buy a turbo seperate, and get yourself a front mount intercooler, theyre not that much $. Check out www.turbod16.com, thats a great site for boost info and theyll point you in the direction of the best places for the best products @ good prices.
