D16Z6 Turbo Compression Ratio?
Whats up guys? I'm kinda new to the forum, as well as to civics and performance tuning, but im learning how to do alot of stuff and alot about them from all the civic forums out there. I've possed this quesiton a couple times on here already, but its kinda urgent and i need a answer pretty quick so I can rebuild my engine. You all know how it is when you got money to burn and wanna make ur cars faster right? So i got a greddy turbo kit for the 92-95 civic ex (TD04H-15G). I'm wondering (obviously from the title of the thread) what CR to run on the car. I plan on having it run the turbos full 18PSi for a while until I can upgrade the turbo to be able to run more in the mid to high 20s. I work at a car audio place, but we deal with nopi, and im looking at SRP 9.0:1 right now which i can get at a real good price. Is there anything wrong with those? or anything that ill get more of a gain out of?

RE: D16Z6 Turbo Compression Ratio?
stock compression for a z6 is 9.2:1, and the stock internals are usually good to around 200-250 whp if tuned properly, or roughly 7psi of boost. so if your lookig for that much, you will need really strong rods to handle it

RE: D16Z6 Turbo Compression Ratio?
I'm going to do a set of Eagle H rods as well....basically its all going to be completely rebuilt, crower stage 1 cam, phantom titanium valve springs, retainers, and valves, crower timing gear, and the rods and pistons. I just wanna make sure i get the most i can the first time, because i've learned from the past that i always want the best, and if ya dont do it that way the first time, then its gonna cost u more in the long run. So what would u basically say is the best compression u could do on a high PSi turbo?
