Do I need a tune for a turbo?
FYI, rendering the airbag inoperable is illegal in most states, which you're doing with the quick release steering.
Nothing wrong with a body kit if it doesn't make the car look like a ****ty space ship and it is professionally fitted and painted... keep in mind most of them just add drag and don't really work aerodynamically (same goes for a lot of spoilers). There's a handful of manufacturers worldwide that do actual aero type body kits.

I can’t really find a clear answer to whether or not it’s illegal in Oregon, but even if it is my tint and exhaust already make my car illegal so it’s a lost cause at this point, but like you said the body kit needs to be clean, I don’t know what you think about the B-2 Style Body Kit on Carid but in my opinion I think it looks relatively simple and clean, also not only does my dad mechanic but he used to paint, so once I get the body kit mounted professionally I’m going to have him spray the whole car in a dark gunmetal grey with metallic specks. And back to the airbag thing, my dad really didn’t want me having it as I’m really skinny (5’10” 120lbs) and that’s just due to my metabolism, but to still have the added safety I’m putting in new seats because my old ones were ripped to hell and also for 4 point harnesses.
easiest way to check if your airbag deal is illegal is go ask the shops that do the work. in pa its illegal if you continue to drive with a steering wheel thats had the airbag deployed. it isnt illegal to just remove it but that also depends on the shop you go to. pa state auto laws tend to be left to interpretation in some cases. so it depends on the shop you tend to use.
I didn't read everyone's response, but if you end up going H swap, do yourself a favor and go H2B. The H series transmission leans the motor back and the axles won't be happy. The B series transmission will prevent the issues that I had. If I had to do it again, I would have gone H2B.
Say no to body kits. They rarely fit well enough to look good, and they are mostly fiberglass (IIRC) meaning it will crack the moment they touch anything harder than a kickball. Get a nice front and rear lip kit, paint the side skirts to match the color of the car and be done with it.

Come on, reading is good for you

P.S. Was in West Chester at 3am. Figured you wouldn't want a call at 3am. See - I did something nice.
Yeah that’s what I was reading, the H2B swap is most likely what I’m gonna go with, does anybody have a good thread to follow that would show me all the things I’ll need? And about the body kit, I really like the look of the one I chose and I’m getting matching fenders and such so I think it’ll look good once I buy it, get it mounted, and get it painted, but that’s gonna be next year because a fast looking car doesn’t mean it’s fast lol. Also on a side note, someone in my area is selling a hatch that’s k swapped for 3500, would that be a good deal because I know the k swaps aren’t exactly cheap.
IF the K-swapped hatch runs properly, passes inspection and the engine/tranny have no issues I would be all over that and swap that over to your car or just run the hatch. Great platform considering the hatches are also lighter. They also do rot a lot more.
