Nitrous, Super Chargers, & Turbos All charged talk about going FAST.

Do I need a tune for a turbo?

First things first. OBD1 in a 1996 car is federally emissions illegal. Just so you are aware of that. If your dad is a car guy have him thoroughly go over the important bits, which are the engine, tranny, axles.... you can swap that into a 96, but I'm not up to date on how to do it legally. Hondata is most likely the answer to that. Have to keep the car OBD2. The price for a basically bolt in swap isn't bad, plus you can part out the donor car and make some cash back.

B18C5 is the type R engine. If it's not stamped on the block it ain't a type r... so check for that and if it's not a Type R - have them drop the price a bit. B18C1 and B18C3 are the more likely things in there with a Type R head if the seller isn't lying outright. That's not bad either, but you definitely have haggle room if that's the case. Great engine in either way if it's in good condition.

Yeah all it says is DOHC VTEC and I think their lying which is a good save thanks to you, but if I can get them to take the price down a lot I might just go for it, and swap everything good into my civic and flip the hatch.

**** I thought you said stamped on the head, nvm then cause it looks like a type r head upon further research, and I’ll ask for a picture of the block.

The GSR engine isn't bad really... if anything - that limited slip diff in the tranny is worth quite a bit too if it is indeed there and not a lie.

Yeah I think if it’s all there and I got the price down a bit I could put the saved money into a quality turbo kit or build one myself with good parts. I feel this would be a good route to take since everything’s there and I basically just need to swap all the stuff in without worrying about what I’ll need. And based on what the description says it’s seems it’s built for at least a 300hp application lol

make sure you know which rods/pistons are in there... proven by receipts preferably.

I had a "dirty" title JDM front Integra in the past. Stolen/wrecked at one point. Spent so much money fixing it up and I can honestly say that it wasn't worth it. "Dirty" title can mean sooo many things. Also, it was out of state (I'm in PA) and registering an out of state, non-clear title in PA was a nightmare. I'd stay away unless you are prepped to potentially do a lot of work. No one here will be able to tell you how much work it would be either.

Unless the text is bullet-pointed, I lose interest quickly. I'm a loser and go to bed early for work each day. No way I would have been up at that time and there isn't anything to do in WC after 2AM.
