I didn't ask how fast it was. I mean what engine, what year is your car, how long have you been driving it like this, etc.

 

Its a b16 , 1995 eg civic. it was left to me by my gran when she lost her eyesight, its still got the ding on the front wing from when she tried to last drive it befor eshe admitted the problem with her eyes!

the motor is completely standard, apart from a whopping turbo kit. its got a homemade exhuast system, with a side exit japanese canistor. it origonally had a auto box, but i replaced it with a manual, the seller told me it was straight cut, however it turns out it just has a whine on the main bearing input shaft.

i think ur full of crap. there is no way ur running that high psi w/o any fuel management. and ss autocrome turbo kits blow, it's a fact. so prove me wrong. let's see some pics and maybe a video of this badass setup of urs. we would all love to see it

 

1bar, if you feel the need to brag about your setup, start another thread, because nothing you have said here is going to help tombakers fix his car. don't come in here with an attitude saying that the people here "dont know their stuff" because it's simply not true. if he doesn't need to change anything about his setup then why does his car lose power until he restarts it? that's NOT "running fine."

No... it says VTEC on the valve cover. Some VTEC engines do not come with a valve cover that says VTEC, even though they are. The only way to tell is to look at the head and make sure it has a VTEC solenoid, if it doesn't, you don't have VTEC.

the CEL light comes on all the time in my motor, and i just ignore it, it boosts fine all the way to 14psi/1bar, and its a 160,000 motor. no problems so far. so all this "you need to get your mtor tuned" is a pile of trash. END OF.

Hahahahaha. If your CEL light is coming on, then no not everything is fine and dandy. I'd bet money that if you got your PCM tested it would say "running lean at ----RPM".

i Bought my SS Autochrome turbo kit over a year ago, and has been fine ever since, admittadly now and then it makes a strange pinging noise, any ideas what, it only happens at high boost, so no ideas, can anyone help?

Your strange pinging noise is DETONATION FROM NOT BEING TUNED. Your motor WILL blow to pieces at some point, whether it be tomorrow or a year from now it will end with a couple holes in your block. I bet your fuel mileage sucks donkey **** as well, I bet you get a lot of hops and skips in your power curve, and you already proved your car is slow for what is done to it.

im using stock injectors, stock management, however ive modded the ecu by putting a boost gauge near it so i can fully see what is going on.

You didn't do **** to the ECU by putting a boost gauge in. Not only that, but if you're able to boost to 14psi without being tuned, your ECU doesn't even know that you are boosting.

EXACTLY Sovxietday.....This is why I ask and research all of my needs here instead of H-T or turbod16, because there are no b/s haters here. Everyone knows you can run an ungodly amount of boost for a bit and be the fastest "bolt-on turbo kit" out there, and surely the fastest to blow a motor. Nobody cares what you have because it has been done before and will be done again. Nothing new or inventive there mate!
