ok back to the question that was asked, i think it is your map sensor as it was not designed to see boost , and i also think that with stock injectors and that much boost it is causing a very lean condition and your o2 sensor reads this witch tell the ecu to cut timing but i think your vafc is trying to run it more advanced . i think if you look into getting a good set of upgraded injectors, and either a tuned ecu, or a missing link to help hide the boost and then have it tuned again you will be running a lot betterhopes that helps, when a CEL is on that does not mean you are making power but, rather losing power so please dont just ignore it , it is your motors way of asking for help

you need to have have your car tuned ASAP. do not continue to drive it or you will destroy your motor.

Mate cant you read it says VTec on the engine.

the CEL light comes on all the time in my motor, and i just ignore it, it boosts fine all the way to 14psi/1bar, and its a 160,000 motor. no problems so far. so all this "you need to get your mtor tuned" is a pile of trash. END OF.

i Bought my SS Autochrome turbo kit over a year ago, and has been fine ever since, admittadly now and then it makes a strange pinging noise, any ideas what, it only happens at high boost, so no ideas, can anyone help?

im using stock injectors, stock management, however ive modded the ecu by putting a boost gauge near it so i can fully see what is going on.

tombakers do not worry, they dont know their stuff.

all the best

1BAR!

You sir, are a ROYAL moron. My old tune was bad and threw CEL's left and right. My wrist pins took a dump and shredded my JE pistons to pieces.

Tom, you are throwing CEL's because your motor is knocking... badly. Im also worried you are running too lean. If thats the case, you have insane heat issuses and your motor will go to heaven. Like Sov said, you are probably detonating too. Upgrade to to 440 injectors at the least. Your stock injectors could go static on you and you dont want that.

Also,Vtec is actually a pain in the *** when it comes to boosting. If you dont have it right, vtec can ruin your motor under boost.

And on a side note. Most of us are a bit thrifty. We typically wont spend money on seomthing that is not needed because most of us dont have that much to begin with. SO, with that said, if tuning was garbage I promise you my friend, we wouldnt be doing it. Ther eis a reason why tuning sometimes adds up to half the cost of a turbo set up in the first place.
