why does everyone go with the P28, instead of the obd1 P72, which actually has provisions for a knock sensor?

oh and i also recently learned that hte p06 is a non-VTEC ECU compared to the P28 with is VTEC enable. I htink they can disable the VTEC when they are chipping, but its just something to consider.

Typically they're more expensive and harder to find
