anything under 1200 that isnt a greddy kit is gonna fail on you. save your money and either piece your own kit together with decent parts look for a cheap greddy kit with an intercooler for about 1200 bucks and it will be reliable

If it's too shinny and cost under one grand it is most likely a piece of crap

I like how everything is "super" lol. The turbo might be ok if you rebuild it with garret internals but the manifold will most likely crack. Some people have good luck with cheapo kits tho

So if you get a good manifold you should be ok? Or will other things crap out on you.

Why chance it, seriously. Do it right and rest at ease that something isn't going to fail leaving you stranded witha blown engine. Where does the money you saved from buying a cheap kit go? Into a replacement engine. That would be the worse case sienario like ifthe turbo blades get loose and start grinding metal off of the housing and blowing it into your engine... or the wastegate fails to open causing you to hit like 25psi, probably really fun for like 2 seconds until your rods can't take it anymore.

i would love to get my own turbocharger from spooledmotorsports.com and piece it together myself, but, sadly, im not experienced enough and i dont know everything i need, or if it would fit, etc etc. i think if i did it i would end up buying stuff that didtn fit and eff everything up. =( i thought i knew most of it, but then this guy on yahoo answers totally blew me out of the water and told me i needed way more stuff

Buy the book called Maximum Boost, do google searches, read the stickys on this forum and others about boost, look in our diy section and there is a diy on piecing together a kit. You just have to learn, none of us started out knowing all this stuff either. We had to learn just like you will need to. That is the reason most of us have civics, we build fast cars ourselves not buy fast cars.
