if there was never a tune up done, then i would do one to see if that changes any of your problems. get your hand on a manual and follow the tune up that is in there. there should have been one done at 100,000 miles.

naturaly aspirated meaning no turbo/supercharger on the air you breath

 

Do i get the full tune up or just the basic?

 

for a tune up i would do. cap/rotor/spark plugs/spark plug wires/ maybe some sea foam. change the timing belt/water pump/tentioner

 

don't forget the valve adjustment.

before you look at that, i would go look at Sovxietdays Thread thats a sticky at the top of the page. i would lean towards the Turbo much more than the SC

 

for 5k you can prolly drop in a k20 with a 6-speed if you do the work yourself. if you do go with a blower, which style are you going?

 

I dont really kno much about under the hood of a car...yet. I am in college at UF( in Florida) working on a mechanical and areospace degree. So the engine swap doesnt really appeal too much to me since i cant do the work myself. I goin with the jackson racing one. I saw it for about 2K.

I would of went turbo but ehh not lookin to go up in boost any time soon plus i like my ac. Yeh yeh i kno some turbo kits can let you keep it but i will stick with the Sc. Only thing i need next is to figure out how to reduce wheel spin. My si does it alot when i floor it and shift into second but stop in thrid.
