So since you are buying her the kit are you going to buy her a new engine when your untuned turbo kit breaks a connecting rod and sends it through her block?

I wasn't realy trying to bash him I seriously want to know who pays for it if something goes wrong. Sorry if I sounded like an *** but I still don't think he ever said that he changed his mind either.
Na it's allright. That's why I came here to hear opinions. I guess, on this particular engine with this much mileage, even a few lbs of boost is not exactly smart. I just figured Hondas would be a bit more robust.
Well, I really don't have a desire to get into another project. So I guess I'll forget about it.
But seeing a rod fly out the block at 500mph is always fun to watch

Well its not like its a bad idea but you would just need an intercooler and a tune. You could probably be done with it in a week or two after you have all the parts at your house. A few days to put the kit on give or take considering how much experience you have with it and then you just need to take it to a tuner then you should be done with it.
look at petes kit. he went with the greddy kit with a front mount and the fuel management that came with it and look what happened to his motor. kaboom... dont get me wrong greddy is an awsome kit just have the ecu to tune it for another 500 bucks and it will get her through college. cant go wrong with 2000 bucks for a reliable na car thats turbocharged
Hey, Yeah its not a big deal to run 5 pounds of boost on a 4 cylinder. Side mount intercoolers are easy to come by and I recomend to run one. but if you put in a 5 pound wastegate spring and never turn up the Boost with a boost controller then she will be fine. You WILL need one thing though. I recomend a 6 to 1 ratio adjustable boost dependant regulator. That means that she keeps her same injectors , it just raises the pressure slightly to compensate for the extra 20 - 30 percent of airflow. Its pretty easy to tune. When you install it you set it to the Stock idle pressure, Sweet Idle is set, then drive the bugger slowly to a dyno and adjust the boost dependant side to be stouch or maybe a hair rich at full boost. ( take in mind the richer the less Hp you have) Vuala! Use a SMALL turbo, like .48 compressor. I recoment about the smallest t3 you can find, becuase t3 is the most common flange size. You can find these turbos for 250 dollars on ebay. Here is how I tuned mine to drive right after install http://upgradecar.blogspot.com/2007/...o-install.html this showed how to initially tune the FMU to use stock fuel injectors to run 5-6 pounds of boost ( specifically 5.25 psi is the Tial 38mm spring I used)

5 pounds of boost doesnt seem like much bu it will feel like she has a different car!
