Hey, I tried searching for this, but can't find anything on it...

Will putting a hi-flo cat into a turboed exhaust burn out the cat, or do you guys think it'd be alright? I just don't want to waste money on one if it's just gonna burn out anyway! Thanks!!!!

 

High flow cats work just fine with boost

It's tough to find one for a Honda due to the fact that they don't come boosted from the factory, and there are about a million different combinations of mani/turbo/model/exhaust. Your best bet is to get everything mocked up, buy some flanges and pipe, and either have someone make it for you, or take the whole thing to an exhaust shop, they'll be able to get you squared away as well

 

somtimes Ebay has downpipes already made too.

But i dont think the high flow cat will have any problems with the boostage (yea, i said boostage)

 

it will be alright, my brother had a boosted civic with a high flow cat it worked alright

 

Have an exhaust or welding shop weld one up for you. That's what I had done, turned out fricken beautiful.
