i read other replys and post of nitrous and i read that dry can cost a lean and wet can cause backfires, not sure if thats the right saying orw.e, and like how would a lean be caused with the dry nitrous kit? and i read that nos is not really safe with compression pump gas because he rebuilt his motor and it jumped up to 11.6 , if i read that correctly, what would it do and, "how safe it would but run that high of compression on pump gas." sorry for so manny questions i just want my car to be nice and smooth when i get the nitrous i dont want anything to happen to it. but im also thinking that i might get the zex nitrous dry kit and there spark plugs,

 

i had a friend that put 15 bottles through his stock b18.

i would trust a wet setup more than anything. dry=blowing **** up

 

High compression on premium pump gas is fine, high compression and nitrous on pump gas is not fine. Dry can cause you to go lean because they "trick" the ecu into adding the extra fuel you need instead of having it injected by the nozzle like a wet kit and it can be unevenly distributedbetween the pistons. That is why I like the zex dry kits because they also have a fuel jet so you can adjust both nitrous and fuel even though it is a dry kit and the nitrous management unit that comes with it can compensate for the need for fuel better than just tricking the ecu like other dry kits do. Like I said before though, ona small shot I think any kit is alright but for larger shots direct port is the only safe way to go.

 

zex dry kits add fuel compensation through vaccum. they use a vaccum source to bump up fuel pressure some.

if you do any kind of high compression, nitrous,turbo.. premium fuel is a must.. unless you can tune your car to take the lesser fuel.

also tuning with nitrous...
you can make power with timing or lack there of. you have to make up for the lack of timing with nitrous or add timing and take away nitrous.

for 10 to 1 compression or lower and 75 shot or less run 91+ octane.

 

awww that sucks so gas would be more expensive hahaha, would the samething go for turbo?

 

another question i have is what if i dont run 91+octane i run lower what are there gonna be any damages or anything and like.. .. and what my99si said how would u tune ur car to take lesser fuel???

 

It will pre-ignite... detonation... blow up on nitrous. Same thing goes for turbochargers, but the thing about nitrous is, you can runregularuntil you want to use nitrous then fill up with 91... it is only 20 cents more, don't be stupid.
