I knowthis is not the place to post this however i know someone here would prob. have something for me. I have a 1998 civic just a basic so far i really want to turbo however can not find anyhting in a resonable price.I would love for someone to have something maybe used or new either way just looking for a Deal. Please Help...

 

Piece one together, its cheaper and you get what you want. You will spend money when you boost a car.

 

Do you know what you're getting into, or do you just want one just because? Buying a turbo setup is like spending your money on headaches and confusion if you don't know what you're doing.

having a tight budget and boosting a car is frustrating at hell. Thast waht i'm doing rihgt now and i'm stuck like 3/4 of the way thorugh it. Have some extra money to spend, research more and more about other peoples setups and turbocharging in general every day, and once you know waht kinda gains you are going for, pick out the components you want and we'll tell you if they're good for. Get a compression test done on the engine before-hand to see if its in any condition to boost anyway.

 

I just got my first turbo setup two and a half weeks ago. Researched for over a year beforehaving a shopinstall it. I wouldnt do it unless you have some reserve funds for when you come across problems. I've already had to replace my clutch as well as the slave cylinder because it couldn't handle the 2000lb pressure plate. Also replaced the radiator cap, radiator, and now my head gasket with arp headstuds because of a small leak which is causing my car to overheat. Try to get everything done at once to reduce labor costs unless you are doing it yourself. And don't just get a compression test! I had damn near perfect compression and leakdown tests but my headgasket was still blown. Have both tests done as well as a test of the pressure in your coolant system and you'll be golden. good luck.
