I got a few questions... I have a 95 honda civic and i just installed the turbo...

I was driving it yesterday... and like it chugs kinda i guess... like its in neutral and its giving gas going.. dun-dun. thats the pattern lol

and then my check engine light is on? whys that?

what kinda oil should i be running?

what kinda octane do i run too?

 

we need more info on ur set-up. have u had it tuned? do u have any fuel management? tell us what u got so we can help!!

btw, did you do anything to your ecu? OEM ecus can't read positive pressure and send the car into limp mode...

 

also the blow off valve dosent seem to wanna make that loud tchh noise... and it was just the bolt on turbo kit for the civic so do i still need to have it tuned and have engine managmnt and ecu and all that shizzy? i dont think i need to cuz its set up for a d16 already... i really cant afford to buy anythin else for my ca for this damn turbo kit i almost wish i didnt even have it cuz of all the problems its giivin me,,,

 

have it tuned by a professional. any time you do major work to an engine it has to be checked.

this isn't an ssautochrome kit is it?

 

Turbo is a very serious thing for your engine, and should be done properly. If you don't want to pay for theengine replacement, remove this ****ing piece of **** you installed - ASAP. Then read, research, prepare, and give it a second informed try.

Get it off NOW or else that clugging along will be because you've got 4 rods hanging out of your block.

 

ok ive took your advice and im having fmu put on it friday... im safe to drive it lightly till then right? ia performance is gonna be doing all the work. i got a guy there thats gonna do i all so all will be good
