missing link
To my understanding all it is is a one way check valve to prevent boost to ever hit the MAP sensor right? So you should be able to install it even when not boosted. I have most of my kit already and decided to install a few things at a time for easier troubleshooting. I installed the missing link, but the engine just dies. I know I am installing it in the correct direction because I can blow air through it in the direction of the throttlebody and not the sensor. What could be the cause? Has anyone had problems with these check valves? Could it be that it is just sticking? If so can I use any type of lube to loosen it up?

RE: missing link
you didnt install it upside down did you? If you installed it right then you will be fine without boost. I ran the missing link and a fmu for a day without any turbocharger and it was fine

RE: missing link
Nope, it is installed the right way. Under vacuum, the air flow is such that there is suction into the throttle body. When I installed it, I double checked the functioning of the check valve by doing just that, sucking in that directions,... ok lets keep things clean and I know you all know what I mean,... The check valve is working, but it feels like it kind of sticks and needs a quite bit of suction to allow the air to flow through. This is why I asked if anyone knows of any lube or anything that might allow the check valve to release better/easier.
