multiple turbos?

Not in a civic (at least on these forums). There's really not much of a point in any kind of twin setup on an I4, especially considering current turbocharger technology; turbos are currently way more efficient than they were just 10 years ago, not to mention you can get the same effect with a hybrid turbo such as a t3/t4, for a lot less money and a lot less fabrication.

that may look cooler BUT lets face it you can use one turbo and get the same boost. with less moving parts thats less parts to break. with multiple turbos thats multiple leaking boost points, thats multiple oil leak points, multiple bearing problems. plus your civic only has one input for the intake so youd have to Y them all together anyways.
twin turbos are more for V8 motors.

Why? Just... why?
As a side note, those are possibly the smallest snails I've ever seen lol... talk about hitting boost right after idle lol
I can't imagine how much that setup would cost though (which was one of my points in my argument... basic setup with a hybrid turbo = ~$2-3k... quad turbo setup = lol)
*edit:
fix't. Don't forget the V6's

I know multiple stage turbos are doable. I've just never seen one on a Civic.
I know they run 3 stage turbos on tractors somewhere in Iowa just to race them. When one of those engines blows, it blows the head about 50 feet in the air.

some bmw's use a small turbo for low end power and then they swich to a larger to for high end, but of course thats on a V or I-6

The alternative style of twins is a parallel setup like I'll be doing; two identical turbos separate from one another where each turbo uses exhaust flow from half the cylinders.
Like I said, though... with an inline configuration, you might as well just get a hybrid turbo like a t3/t4; you'll get the same result.
