Default New setup!

I know I havent been on here in a few months but with school and college golf Ive been way too busy to take pictures of my car and document stuff but I'll update you guys on where Im at now that its summer and I finally have a little time on my hands. I used to have a half greddy kit, half home made kit which let me keep my a/c (great since I live in Florida) but I always had oil return problems and was never a big fan of the setup. I ended up melting #3 piston and destroying the ringlands so I ended up rebuilding the block with tuner toys rods and 9:1 srp pistons. I have alot of the motor build documented in my build thread so I'll get to the new turbo setup. I didnt have much money left after the motor build and I had just started school (no job) so I needed to do a serious home made budget setup so I turned to the ghetto-topmount made of an aftermarket header and some extra piping me and my buddy had laying around. Its all mild steel and mig welded so its pretty ghetto looking but sometimes ghetto=sweet! Any how on to the pics.

Let's start off with the dirty engine bay pic. We had a near hurricane yesterday which explains all the debris everywhere. Btw thanks to dfdon for the turbo. 6 months of boost with nothing but a screen filter and still spooling up like a champ.

This is the collector off the old header that we welded 2 90* bends off both openings to create a 180* bend back up to form the top mount. \/

We also made a full 3" exhaust with nothing but a high flowing 3" resonator which sounds amazing. Ive had a a few small hairline cracks in this manifold over the past six months but nothing too serious. Its been pretty durable for what it is. Also a really slow oil leak out the feed fitting in the block and out of the return fitting on the bottom of the turbo but im not losing any noticeable oil even after 2 months between oil changes. Overall I think this setup is pretty cool and Im definitely proud of the fab work. Making the manifold, downpipe and exhaust was a ton of fun and I think it looks really unique. Im thinking of going back to a cast log manifold soon for a little quicker spool and overall a little simpler setup but not exactly sure what direction and when. Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I have.

Hey, on the ID tag on the compressor housing of that turbo does it say "Model Number T0457"?

Lol thats my sweet airplane oil line. No those #'s arent on it anywhere. Btw the turbo is a t3/to4b v-trim .48/.60. I wasnt planning on using the screen for very long but it hasnt caused any problems at all so its still there. I will be buying a new intercooler pretty soon since the one Im using now is pretty bent up. It holds boost just fine and seems to work perfectly but it looks a little goofy behind the bumber and Im not sure it will flow a whole lot more than 10 psi/250whp anyway. My radiator fan hasnt been working lately which isnt good so I tested it by running power to it straight from the battery, the fan itself is perfectly fine so it must be something wierd. Any suggestions on that would be great. I'll also probably be getting a new ebay alluminum radiator soon.

It could happen to be the coolant temp sensor. They control the fan and if its not turning on i'd almost point to that.

Yeah that might be the culprit. It really hasnt been a big enough problem yet to dig into too deeply. Its amazing how resilient hondas are to overheating even with that tiny little radiator.

Ive been thinking about going to a new manifold for a little more simplicity and a little quicker spool time. Im debating between making a pfab style stainless log with the mild flanges on my current manifold or just buying one of those inline pro style copies off ebay for like $100.
