I think these are better suited for a truck or bus

that looks horrible, take forever to spool, horrible lag, and even if you did use on a bus or truck, how does the oil return work?? No good

It's called remote mounting.

Pros: No intercooler needed, all of the piping is exposed under the car. Oil return is pumped back to the engine, no gravity necessary. No underhood temp problems FTW!

Cons: Piping is up to 10+ feet long... hello forever spool. Turbo is exposed to elements, and no where to run a good filter. When you pop your hood, there aint no turbo there![:'(]

Yeah, not my favorite setup either.

I have read a couple of articles on this and they are awesome. On a integra type r at 7psi, it made 300whp. All drivers THOUGHT there would be more lag, but NONE was experienced. The piping does act as a double intercooler, and the decreased temps help a ton. STS has put together some very nice cars, the biggest pull back is the price because the quality and performance is as good or better than some of there competitors.

I still wouldn't rock it, my turbo would NEVER survive a PA winter under the car like that.

And for a B18C5 to be making 300whp at 7psi is nothing you wouldn't see with an inside setup either, just not worth it IMO.

People usually don't drive lowered cars or sports cars in the snow? If you do you need to invest in a beater. You need to check out some of their cars, most are domestic, but WOW!

Can't do much about it, I have on car and it's my DD. Just put on snow tires, raise up the car (GC coilovers), and take it easy.

I think it is a setup more for domestics anyway who don't have a lot of room in the enginebay and push a lot more air out of their engines. Exhaust velocity gets compensated a lot when it has to go that far to the turbo, lag times are absolutely going to be changing due to that.

Just no reason to run a Honda with that setup, that's all.

STS is actually a fairly priced and good company. Cheapest least hassle turbo setup to get for a RWD V8 car. I like em, also the BOV works in a way so that the piping is allways got enough pressure in them to get rid of lag. plus when your pushing a turbo with a 4.6l or bigger engine lag is one thing you tend to not let tie you back.

Don't they have the BOV pre intercooler?

I agree, it's not a bad setup for the big V8s who don't have a lot of engine bay room. Turbo lag on a V8 is when they actually get traction, lol.
