a good rule of thumb every 50 hp you should retard timing one degree, and you might need to run colder spark plugs if you spray often. just keep your eye on the air fuel ratio with a guage, and don't hold it on longer than a 1/4 mile run at a time

i never said to turn a distibuter, but retarding the timing is to avoid detonation, i am not sure how he has to do it but i is a good safety precaution, but with only 50hp, you could get away without the timing change
there will be no need to change your ecu, and there shouldn't really be a need to due any tuning if the car runs good and the fuel pump is good enough to supply the extra fuel.
