To start off, you will be more than happy with 220 whp for a good while. Your car has like 120 hp at the crank. right there that's a 100whp gain. The reason why the bottom end isn't good for that much power is cause it's just plain old not strong enough. Sovxietday recently finished his car, you outta have a good at his thread in the HCF project section. If you have ever seen a picture of the D series Connecting rods, you'll know why you need to beef them up. I don't know how much that clutch is able to handle but it should say on the website. That's a bonus to know someone with a dyno. However that being said it may be better to get it dyno tuned by someone with honda experiance and turbocharger know how. There are so many things that can and probly will go wrong on a turbo build. Allthough its crappy that things go wrong, it only streghnans your knowledge. 220 whp is enough to play with a few stangs and camaros

ill be more than happy with 220, but if i do upgrade the piston/connecting rods i can go much more correct? i have a friend that had a d16z6 and he said he blew his rods out his block... i dont want that.

well, maybe ill get my car tuned from the honda guy in town, i really dont know how / where to look to find a decent tuner. it will still be fun to play with the dyno always fun to dyno a car for EVERY part you put on it lol.

Aside from pistons and rods, i beleive you will need some other stuff. As I said. Im not an expert. I know enough to get you going on your build if that. You'll have to PM someone on here that really knows there stuff about building a block. I do know that 220 in a civic is alot.

Im making baout 230whp in my b16 right now and it scaredme the first couple of timesIgot onit after being tuned. Boost comes on very hard and feels very different from stock n/a form. D series motors can make 400+whp pretty well if built properly but you will need to upgrade axles and a whole lot of other stuff as well as drag slicks if you ever want to use that power.

You really need to get rid of the idea of that "godspeed" turbo. Your turbo is the most important part ofyour whole setup! Why would you skimp out on your turbo? Please spare yourself the headache and get a garrett or something tried andproven.

Your turbo wont be set at a given psi unless its internally gated in which case you can only raise the boost from the wastegate stock setting with a boost controller.

An exedy stage 1 clutch kit will be able to hold as much powerasyour stock internals but if your thinking about upgrading the motorsoon you might want to go ahead and get a stage 2 or 3.

Good luck with everything. It sounds like you have done quite a bit of research but you still have a long way to go. By the way, I highly suggest doing the install and everything yourself and with a couple friends. You will know alot more about how everything works and will be better at fixing problems in the future.

Red2000si, thanks for filling in the stuff I dont know. I beleive if you are internally wastgated, you can swap out the spring to a different PSI
