Post up your already boosted setups for the noobies!
I would love for thisto possiblybe made into a sticky if I can get enough responses
. You SC guys feel free to post your setupsas well.
I would like everyone on this forum with a currently or previously boosted civic to post the following details about you setup:
1. Year, model (dx, ex, si, etc.),motor and anything done to the internals.
2. Your turbo setup, meaning anything you changedabout your car from stock form to allow boost.
3. The cost, preferably of each individual item you purchased.
4. If you want to be extra helpful you could mention where you found each part.
5. What engine management program you are using.
6. How much power you are making.
7. Parts you have used that have failed and needed to be replaced.
8. Things you learned about after your car was boosted that you wish you would have known before.
9. Basically anything else you can think of to help out anyone that has questions about boosting their civic.
10. Pics of the engine bay wouldnt hurt if you have any.
After all, this site is all about informing the uninformed. This would be a list I would have been extremely interested in taking a look at when I first got into all of this and I hope I can get a good response out of all you fellowboosted civic owners. I mean what better way to learn about this stuff than to see other peoples already boosted setups?
Lets keep questions and other useless comments out of this thread please!

I'll kick this off with my setup in a new post for neatness reasons.
1. 2000 civic si, bone stockb16a2
2.Used 18G greddy turbo kit(log manifold, 18Gturbo, internal wastegate 6psi, 2 1/4"downpipe)$700, Spearco intercooler $165, greddy/homemade piping $50, LSD Motorsports couplers and t-bolt clamps $60,greddy oil lines came with kit, walbro 255 fuel pump $100,usedtuner toys 440cc injectors $120, p28ecu $120, obd2b-obd1 conversion harness $60, greddy type-s bov came with kit, 60mmTanabe racing medallionexhaust $220,misc. vac lines, nuts/bolts,gaskets, fittings $100, tuned with cromeby Central FloridaTurbo $395. Total cost=$2090
3. Cost mentioned above
4. I got alot of these parts used from ebay and through private sellers on this and other forums.
5. Mentioned above. Crome on a chipped p28 ecu, definately the best way to go imho.
6. Will be finding out final #'s next monday. Until then its a secret.
7. I originally planned on using a 14b turbo but I had a hard time finding a manifold that would let me keep my a/c. Other than that I have been pretty lucky so far.
8. My stock fuel pump is not good for 300whp like I had been told and actually starting crapping out at around 190whp.
9. I studied about boost in civics for a good solid year while I saved up money until I had learned as much as I thought I could and it still wasnt enough. REASERCH!!!

Hope this is a good example and I hope this will help people out in the future.

This is my budget build.
1. 1993 civic dx hatch, d15b7 146000 miles
2. t25 from 2nd gen eclipse water cooled and internal wastegate, Hf manifold, adapter plate, downpipe with unknown size(lol) all for $125, homemade chargepipe $80, Cheap couplers and clamps $40, Tuner toys oil line hit $90, Walbro 255 fuel pump $100, Greddy knock off bov $60, RC 310cc injectors $100, Greddy E-manage basic unit $300, Blox map sensor bypass $60, Autometer boost guage $60, Misc. Gaskets/bolt.etc $40
3. Total cost =1055. ( I know I'm missing something cause I think I spent around 1200)
4. Mainly ebay and tunertoys.com
5. Greddy emanage would be worth it if you buy all the harnesses and the datalink cable, but it pretty cheap to buy used so its great for a budget build till you can get a tune.
6. No idea power wise.
7. Buy good clamps. I've broke quite a few.
8. Well every problem I had I didn't think I would, Fuel pump couldn't put out enough and the map sensor bypass is a must. Stock clutch won't hold so I reccomend something alittel better
9. Make sure you have every part ready to install. A fuel pump is a must. Walbro are so cheap so its worth it. Jb weld on the oil return doesn't work, get it welded. Research, ask questions, talk to people who have done it before, talk to the right people(be careful of some shops especially ones that tell you buying a kit from them is better.) I've never turboed a car before so I went into this to try it out and see if I like it. Don't go cheap with engine management. If you are serious about it do it right.
Good idea pics.

8. When you boost it, the car will not drive like stock ever again.
9. Research research research. Plan ahead, give yourself a lot of extra time than you think you'll need. The best quote I've ever heard that describes this perfectly. "When you put together any project on a car, it's amazing. No matter what kind of car it is, when it goes under the knife to change something drastic it always takes forever. At first, everything is on schedule, the big things go in easy. You slap an engine in, you slap the suspension on, you slap the turbo on and bolt up all the piping and it takes you a couple hours. Then after you get all the big stuff in... you have 80 BAJILLION little tiny insignificant things that suddenly become significant that take for god damn ever and makes you want to pull your hair out by the handful."
Just be ready and have a parts car. You won't think of everything the first time around, and you'll need bolts and washers and tidbits here and there.
