quick turbo questions
I know these questions have been asked a hundred times before, but I'd still like some help. I have a 94 ex coupe with 200,000 miles, though the engine base was rebuilt in august , and am considering installing a greddy turbo kit. I have titanium valves, titanium springs, titanium retainers, ARP headstuds, and a stage 3 crane cam already ready to be installed, and I'm wondering about how much boost I can run safely. I'm thinking a low amount anyway, maybe 5-6 psi, will this be ok do you think? Also how much will this affect my gas mileage? With gas at $3.15, my 35mpg was a huge factor in buying the car.
5-6 should be fine. And Roto is right, you would be better off with a stock cam than a stage 3 for boost. Half ofthe boostwould blow right though the cylinder.
All that titanium bling is sweet, but it's the rods that need beefing up for big boost.
