I'd go with a turbo, if your new they're way more fun. When they kick they kick hard, and the sound of that blow off valve when you down shift... Ooh sounds so good! lol

Hush. You sound like a moron.

OP. There are MANY things to think about. Saying "how many psi should i run" is about as broad as one can get. First and foremost. Can the car handle boost? Run a compression test and leak down check, compression at the least. They should all be within 10% before feeling comfortable. Additionally, you need to know it's VTEC, it's not a phone. ALSO, b20's were not designed to run high RPMs. Their cylinder walls are quite thin. Next you need to decide how much horsepower you're aiming for. You then should choose a turbo that can support that. 10psi on a small turbo is different than 10psi on a GT60. You also need to consider what tuning system you want to go with. There are ~250$ options (not including a tune which is ~300$+). Then again, I paid just about 900$ for my ecu and tuning program. You need injectors, oil lines, intercooler, an exhaust that isn't restricting, etc. I spent around 3k but that's with buying a smaller turbo and already having a capable exhaust. Most importantly, you need to research. You'll blow the motor up and be looking at spending even more money.

honestly, I wouldn't turbo a b20. the cylinder walls are too thin, and you're just begging to blow up your motor. If you want more power, think about building the motor up a little bit. I dont know much about whats done to it, as you haven't given us much information. However, I would do a compression test to check on the health of the cylinders. If its good, maybe think about getting some more aggressive cams and a tune?

They're great motors. They have teenie tiny rods so anything above 250whp is starting to be questionable. But theyre a dime a dozen and easy to get parts for. I have a boosted D and I love it. Generally, their hp per tq is more than dohc motors. Anyway. there's a TON of info on boosted d motors. PM me with specific questions if you want. Also, D-series.org is a good place or turbod16
