Default Turbo D-series

I am a really big fan of the D-series motor. I have a D16Z6 in my 97' Civic EX with 71,000 miles and i want to know if it would be ok to buy a small turbo kit and only run 4-5lbs of boost and would it be reliable?

Yes actually. I think Petes car has 120k+ on his screaming 5th gen and that crazy sob is running 9lbs.

Yea you should be fine, try and not look at it as how much boost you can run safely but more so how much tq. With a tune that is good your engine will hold a good 220 to 240whp bone stock.

What are ARP's?
ARP is a compny that makes high strength aircraft quality bolts. They make them for heads, rods and flywheel applications. It is cheap insurance in my opinion. If you are building an engine use ARP bolts where ever you can, I always use them in engines.

Cant go wrong man. D-series have the advantage of low end torque, so combined with some mid to high end power, you got yourself a quick little ride. I have a JDM D15B in mine with a T3 running 8lbs, and its a serious blast to drive.
