p28 is a vtec ecu, the p06 is not. Hes wanting to boost a non-vtec car, therefore needing a non vtec ecu, hence the p06.

i thought u couldent tune an obd2 ecu....i know you can use the p28 you dont have to wire up the v-tech.

so why did Sov say you cant use the p28 then?
You *can* use a P28, you just wouldn't need to bother with high cam fuel and timing. But it's a VTEC ECU, P06 is a nonvtec ECU, really you can use either but the correct ECU for the application would be the P06.

but obd2 cant be tunned thats why everyone goes with the p28 and a conversion harness.... if you can thats news to me then im gunna go do that

if you got a p28 specifically just to get it tuned, couldnt they disable the VTEC wehn they are messing with it?

Yeah, basically the p28 is a p06 but withe vtec goodies, both ecu use the same motherboard.

To answer sleeping stock question about tuning OBD2, technically, yes you can "tune" an OBD2 ecu. greddy e-manage does not control timing, compared to uberdata, crome, or hondata you can with an OBD1 ecu.
