i'll post results!
Excellent. REMEMBER, you MUST have the accelerator pedal floored while cranking, or your numbers will be all over the place. I had to do the test four times before I remembered that part

Cranking the motor is what you do every morning when you start your car silly.
you mean turning the key? Or are you talking about doing it manually? Gaah i'm still a noob sorry, but can someone explain exactly how you do it?

When you turn the key to START, and it goes "wum wum wum wum" that is the motor "cranking"

Rent a compression tester from Autozone, should be like 40 bucks but you get it all back when you return it.

1- Take out your spark plugs
2- pull the fuel pump fuse (fuse box inside car)
3- Screw the tester into the number one cylinder
4- Put the accelerator all the way to the floor, and crank the motor for a few seconds.
5- Record the PSI reading for that cylinder

Repeat steps 3-5 for each cylinder and compare your numbers. They should all be within 10% of each other.

As for a leakdown, you're probably better off to take it to a shop. But, run the compression test first, that can tell you a lot.
that some useful info thanks alot
