My friend just bought a 95 GSR and is wondering would it be better to turbo it or supercharge it?

 

wow thats a tough choice. It all depends on what your friend wants... low end tourqu or high end power. Having driven both I will say they are to completly different beasts. I prefer the rush of power and the curve that the turbo gives me personally. Having power when you need it from the charger is pretty sweet though. Chargers are a easier install and alot more sleeper. Turbo will require more work for install but will net higher gains in the upper rpm range. OH and with turbo you get a badass look from the intercooler and the sound of the Blow off valve.

Since the GSR has nice torque anyway, I would go turbo.

 

Can u hear a supercharger at all.. or will it change tone of exhaust?

 

it has a bit of a whine and if you change the pully for more boost itll spin faster and be even louder.
